Equality, who needs it?

Equality, who needs it?

One would think that those who are less equal than others would benefit if things in life became more equal. And of course, when it comes to the law, the principal of equality is everyone’s goal. But our current troubles result from people who talk too much about racial inequality.

Here’s where it all starts. A newborn child sees its mother as soon as it can see anything. The race of the mother becomes an intuitive signal to its instincts forever after. At least, let us hope they do.

If you’re determined to eradicate racism, you’ll have to start with families.

As the years go by, people may acquire memories of good or bad things that happen to them, and the appearance of those who were the cause. Is this “racism”? Not the way the word is used today.

I ask you: When’s the last time you heard something good about a race? As in, “I like Italians, they make good spaghetti”, or, “I like Swedes, they make good furniture”? Are these not racial opinions?

The only things we’re supposed to think when it comes to race are bad things. Which means it’s not a real discussion at all, it’s something else.

There’s no good reason that people should be equal. It’s better when they’re not, because that makes life more interesting. It’s better to have diversity. “Diversity” means it comes in great variety. And so life, as people feel it, becomes rich, and full of wonder.

Speaking as a white person, may I say, “It’s ok to be white”? Well, thanks a lot.

People who talk too much about race are just trying to make us all feel bad. What matters about a person is their individual thoughts and deeds, not their race.

For any two living things, perfect equality is not possible. Let’s be glad about that. Equality, who needs it?
